ONE POT ITALIAN SAUSAGE PASTA DISH

Had a busy day, or just need a no hassle simple one pot solution for dinner? Then look no further. Our simple One pot Italian Sausage Pasta Dish recipe will taste like a master piece yet is simple enough to do, even in a rush.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pack of Doug & Co Italian Pork sausage, sliced into discs
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Chicken Stock Cube dissolved into 2 cups of hot water to make a stock
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • dry pasta of your choice enough for 4 people – *spaghetti is recommended
  • 1 1/2 cups of grated mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Step One

Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick pot over medium-high heat, then add the sausage to the pan. Cook until the sausage is browned, then add both the chopped onions and garlic. Cook for roughly five more minutes until the onions are soft.

Step Two

Add the chicken broth, heavy cream, diced tomatoes, and dry pasta to the pan. If you use spaghetti break into thirds. Season with salt and pepper to taste and stir everything well. Turn the down the heat and cover the pan with a lid. Cook undisturbed for +- fifteen minutes or until the pasta is cooked through.

Step 3

Stir in 3/4 cup of the grated cheese then use the remaining cheese to cover the top, then place the lid back on the pot and cook for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
